Katherine Down

Katherine Down is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as the Head of Production & Technology at LANXESS since April 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing activities and enhancing operational efficiency at the West Hill plant. Prior to this role, Katherine was a Production Manager at the same site, effectively guiding the team through organizational changes post-acquisition from Chemtura. Earlier experience includes serving as Plant Manager at Nachurs Alpine Solutions, where focus was on transformative operational improvements, and holding multiple managerial and engineering positions at ARLANXEO and LANXESS Inc. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a Professional Internship from Western University.
