Markus Eckert is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Head of Global HSEQ for the LANXESS Group since April 2023. Previously, Markus held the position of SVP Head of Business Unit Urethane Systems at LANXESS from May 2017 to April 2023. Earlier in the career, Markus worked at Bayer MaterialScience as the Head of Regional Strategic Planning for the APAC region in 2003-2004 and held several leadership roles at LANXESS AG from October 2009 to June 2014, including Head of Business Unit Leather and Head of Corporate Development. Markus holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich.
