Patrick Olivan

Patrick Olivan has a diverse work experience starting with their current role as the Head of Business Development at Lapp Group since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Senior Manager of Business Development Services at the same company from March 2021 to April 2023. Patrick also worked as a Senior Project Manager for Industrial Communication from January 2019 to May 2021, and as an Assistant to the Managing Board for Technology & Innovation from January 2017 to April 2021. Before joining Lapp Group, they were a PHD Student in Technology and Innovation Management at Festo from December 2012 to November 2016. Patrick also worked as a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IAO from July 2010 to November 2012. In addition, they gained experience as a Production Ramp Up Manager at SE Kunststoffverarbeitung from August 2008 to August 2009, and as part of a Praxissemester in the Entwicklung von Akku-Schraubern at Robert Bosch Power Tools Sdn. Bhd. from March 2007 to August 2007.

Patrick Olivan completed their education at various institutions and obtained certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Patrick started their educational journey at IUT Lyon 1 in 2005, where they earned a French Engineer Diploma (DUT) in Machine and Production Technology. In 2004, they enrolled at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences and specialized in Development and Construction for their Diplom (FH) in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2008.

Continuing their education, Patrick joined the University of Stuttgart in 2010, where they pursued a Diplom in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Production and Technology Management. Patrick successfully completed this program in 2012 and received further recognition in the form of a Dipl.-Ing. certification from the University of Stuttgart.

Patrick's pursuit of higher education didn't end there as they pursued a Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the University of Stuttgart. Patrick engaged in extensive research and studies in Mechanical Engineering, culminating in the award of a German PhD in Engineering in 2019.

Additionally, Patrick sought out additional certifications to further enhance their expertise. In 2020, they completed the CS50's Computer Science for Business Professionals program offered by Harvard University through edX. More recently, in 2021, they obtained the Chief Service Manager certification from RWTH Aachen University.
