John A. Turner

John A. Turner, Esq. is a retired sheriff and presents as the In-House Counsel & Training Manager at the Los Angeles Police Protective League, and the Co-founder & Director of Training at Joppa Training Group. They have extensive experience in law enforcement, serving in various capacities from Police Officer with the LAPD to Chief Executive Law Enforcement Officer in Walla Walla County. Turner has also worked as a Special Investigator for the US Department of Homeland Security and a Counter-Terrorism Investigator for the U.S. Department of Defense. Holding a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law, they are dedicated to values-based leadership and the professional development of law enforcement and first responders.
