Founded in 1997 following a management buyout of Laing Asbestos Removal (originally part of John Laing Construction Ltd), LAR Ltd brings over 30 years of industry expertise in asbestos removal and abatement. Since holding our original licence in 1985, we've delivered safe, compliant, and high-value projects across the UK, Europe, and Africa - with individual project values reaching up to £3.5 million.

Headquartered in Greater Manchester, we operate from a fully equipped in-house facility that supports our site teams with specialist equipment and logistics. We also own and operate a licensed waste transfer station, holding both Environment Agency Waste Management and Waste Carriers Licences.

LAR operates across diverse sectors, including Education, Local Authority, Healthcare, Retail, Heritage, Government, and Utilities. We work as both Principal Contractor and Specialist Subcontractor, with Health & Safety at the heart of everything we do.
