Thad Walker

Thad Walker, CFA, has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thad is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Lario Oil & Gas Company, where they assumed this position in June 2022 after previously holding the roles of VP of Finance from January to June 2022 and Director of Finance from April 2021 to January 2022.

Prior to their current role, Thad worked at QEP Resources, starting in 2017. Thad held the position of Finance Manager from December 2020 to March 2021, Senior Financial Analyst from June 2019 to November 2020, and Financial Analyst, Business Development from July 2017 to June 2019.

Thad also gained experience at Bentek Energy, where they worked from 2014 to 2017. Thad served as an Energy Analyst III from March 2016 to July 2017 and as an Energy Analyst from January 2014 to March 2016, where they conducted fundamental analysis for natural gas markets in various regions.

In addition, Thad contributed to academia as an Econometrics Peer Tutor at Washington and Lee University from January 2012 to May 2013, providing instruction on statistics software and regression analysis.

Thad also gained exposure to trade issues during an internship at the U.S. International Trade Commission in 2012, where they contributed to research.

Thad's earliest professional experience was as an intern in the Land Department at Bill Barrett Corporation in 2008.

Thad Walker, CFA, completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, they also attended the Summer School program at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to university, Thad attended Kent Denver School from 2005 to 2009. Thad later obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute in August 2019.
