Our novel approach involves deploying several small, modular laser sensors to create multiple laser beams that intersect within a sensing plane. When gas molecules are present in this plane, the intensities of these laser beams are absorbed. By analysing the absorbance across multiple beams, we can accurately reconstruct gaseous parameters, such as two-dimensional distributions of temperature and key species concentration, similar to X-ray CT imaging.

Our sensors have very sensitive measurement capability. For example, it can measure temperature from 0°C to 1000°C, and ppm-level gas molecules. Our specific design makes the sensors robust when operating in extreme conditions, such as with strong thermal radiation, mechanical and acoustic vibrations. Either of these factors could easily fails traditional sensors. Our sensors are equipped with high-speed and multi-channel data acquisition systems, which provide a unique imaging speed up to kilo frames per second. To date, our sensors have been validated to image the exhaust temperature and water vapour concentration of gas turbine exhausts.

In terms of cost, our solution is competitive with existing technologies, offering superior ACCURACY, SPEED and DURABILITY in harsh environments, at a similar price. This makes our technology uniquely suited for challenging industrial and environmental applications where fast and accurate gas monitoring are critically demanded.
