Elaine Stracker

Elaine Stracker is currently a Board Member at Lassogen. Previously, they worked as General Counsel & Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Maky Zanganeh & Associates from October 2016 to January 2021. In this role, Elaine was responsible for overseeing all legal, business and operational functions, including conducting due diligence assessments on potential investments, negotiating and preparing documents for private financings of up to over $100M. Elaine also acted as interim COO, managing all preclinical, clinical, clinical operations, regulatory, medical affairs and CMC activities of clients as needed, and managing a team of consultants.

Before their work at Maky Zanganeh & Associates, Elaine was General Counsel at Pharmacyclics, Inc. from February 2013 to October 2015. In this role, they were primarily responsible for the strategic direction and management of all corporate legal matters. Elaine provided senior management with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation, managed all legal functions (including all contracts and business transactions, compliance, SEC, employment, and intellectual property) and retained and oversaw the work of outside counsel. Elaine worked closely with business development to bring in opportunities and conduct due diligence for potential collaborations and/or acquisitions and was directly involved in complex business transactions and in negotiating critical contracts. Elaine managed litigation matters and outside litigation counsel while advising corporate executive(s) on risks, implications and outcomes.

Elaine Stracker has a JD from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a Ph.D from the University of California, Davis. Elaine is currently an intellectual property lawyer.
