Mark Burk

Founder, President & CEO at Lassogen

Mark Burk is the current Founder, President, and CEO of Lassogen. Mark has also previously served as the Founder, President, and CEO of Snap Bio, Inc., as well as the Executive VP and CTO of Genomatica. Mark has also been the Senior Vice President, Head of R&D for Diversa Corporation, Director for Chiroscience Pharmaceuticals, and a Professor for Duke University's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. In addition, they have done post-doctoral work for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mark has dedicated their life to improving survival in patients with cancer through developing new highly selective kinase inhibitors derived from potent natural scaffolds.

Mark Burk completed their undergraduate studies at Yale University and went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the same school.
