Alex C. has over 20 years of professional work experience in various roles and industries.

Alex started their career as a Police Officer at Chesterfield County in 1996, where they served until 1999.

In 1996, they also joined the United States Army Reserve as a Commissioned Officer in the Military Police Corps. Alex held multiple positions of increasing responsibility, including Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Company Commander, and Battalion Operations Officer. Alex served in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004.

In 1999, Alex joined Wachovia as a Team Lead in Emerging Threats Analysis and Solution Development. Alex built a threat intelligence function from scratch to protect the financial services industry. Alex also served as a senior technical advisor on security threats to the CTO.

From 2017 to 2022, Alex worked at Bank of America as an Information Security Executive, SVP - Cyber Threat Intelligence. Alex designed and implemented a holistic Cyber Threat Intelligence program for the enterprise, focusing on various threats. Alex managed a team of 40 and had input into executive-level presentations and organization design.

Since 2010, they have also owned and operated their own security consulting firm, Perpetual Security Investigations and Consulting (PSIC).

Most recently, Alex joined LastPass in 2022 as the Director of Threat Intelligence, Mitigation, Escalation (TIME).

Alex C. has a diverse education history. In 1993, they attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice. They completed their studies in 1996.

Later, in 2005 and 2006, Alex C. enrolled in Norwich University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance. Their field of study was focused on Information Assurance.
