Norbert Takács

Norbert Takács has a strong background in Android software engineering. Norbert began their career as a Junior Software Engineer at AutSoft Ltd. in 2018, where they worked on various Android application developments. During this time, they gained experience in the Android framework and related technologies, as well as working in an Agile environment.

In 2021, Norbert joined LogMeIn as an Android Software Engineer, where they continued to develop their skills in Android application development.

Since 2022, Norbert has been working as a Senior Android Software Engineer at LastPass (formerly part of LogMeIn and later GoTo). In this role, they are responsible for implementing new features, maintaining the current codebase, and improving the stability of the LastPass Password Manager Android application. Norbert also focuses on providing improvement points to ensure a healthier and more maintainable codebase for the long-term future.

Additionally, in 2017, Norbert had the opportunity to teach as a Laboratory Demonstrator at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where they taught basic parts of Android application development in the Mobile- and Web-based Software Laboratory.

Throughout their career, Norbert has developed expertise in technologies such as Android SDK, Android Jetpack, Material Design, Dagger2, Retrofit, Firebase, Room, Realm, and various 3rd party libraries. Norbert is also proficient in test libraries related to Unit and Android testing, such as Robolectric, Espresso, and Mockito.

Norbert Takács completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in the years 2014 to 2018. Norbert then pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field from the same university between 2018 and 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, Norbert obtained a EuroExam Certification in English B2 from Euroexam International in May 2013.
