Eric Carlson

Clinical Director, Intensive Outpatient Program at LAT

Eric graduated with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Virginia in 1989, and went on to get his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law in 1997. Eric practiced law as a civil litigator for 17 years, then went back to school to earn a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in 2012 and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Even before graduating from college, Eric had gained valuable experience working with physically and developmentally disabled children and adults in New York, where he grew up. Eric has also volunteered extensively here in Los Angeles, coaching boys soccer and basketball in South Central Los Angeles, working at Public Counsel’s Children’s Rights Project counseling children in guardianship and adoption proceedings, and serving on the original Board of Directors of a start-up, non profit charter school for underprivileged youth. Eric has been with the Life Adjustment Team since August 2014.
