Karvin Lee

Karvin Lee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. From 2023, they worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Later. Prior to that, they served as the Director of FP&A at Mogo from 2021 to 2022. Karvin also held roles at Mogo as the Controller for New Product and Manager of FP&A from 2018 to 2021. Before joining Mogo, Karvin worked as a Controller at Cressey Development Corporation from 2017 to 2018.

Karvin Lee's earlier experience includes working at Bloomberg LP, where they served as a Senior Analyst from 2014 to 2017. Karvin expanded the Chinese A Shares coverage universe and improved data quality during their time there. Karvin was also an APAC Interim Estimates Project Manager from 2012 to 2013 and a Financial Analyst from 2011 to 2012.

Karvin's career began at BDO Canada as a Senior Accountant from 2008 to 2011. Karvin led financial statement audits for various clients and developed financial models using different models and analyses. Karvin also gained expertise in complex accounting principles and business operations and internal controls processes.

Before BDO Canada, Karvin worked as an AR/AP Clerk at Peterson Investment Group from 2006 to 2008.

Karvin Lee obtained a Diploma in Accounting Program (DAP) from The University of British Columbia in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they attended the Chartered Accountant School of Business, where they acquired a CA degree. In 2011, Karvin earned additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC. Prior to their diploma, Karvin completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics at The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007.
