General Counsel at Launch Potato

Craig Ready has an extensive work experience, starting in 2007 as a Residence Hall Director at Emory University. Craig then worked as an Assistant General Manager at Capstone Management from 2008 to 2010, where they performed financial analysis and budget management for a mixed-use property.

From 2010 to 2012, Craig worked as a Paralegal at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice PLLC, assisting clients in complying with campaign finance and lobbying laws, and conducting research on environmental and housing laws.

Craig then joined Venable LLP in 2012, first as a Law Clerk and later as an Attorney. In these roles, they advised financial institutions on litigation issues and compliance with financial services statutes and regulations.

In 2014, Craig became a Compliance Counsel at MileOne Automotive Group, where they created and implemented a compliance management system and provided advice on consumer finance regulations and operations.

From 2016 to 2018, they worked as Counsel in the Consumer Protection and Corporate Regulatory Division of Wells Fargo, serving as legal counsel for various business lines.

Craig then joined Red Ventures in 2018 as a Senior Corporate Counsel, supporting brands such as Bankrate, The Points Guy, and Creditcards.com. Craig was responsible for product counseling, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory compliance, IP, advertising law, and employment matters.

In 2021, Craig took on the role of Associate General Counsel at Orchard, and also became a Charter Member at TechGC.

Most recently, they have been working at Launch Potato as the General Counsel since May 2023.

Craig Ready has a strong education background in various fields. Craig obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of Maryland School of Law, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Lee University, during the years 2004 to 2006. Beginning their academic journey, Craig received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Lee University in the years 2000 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, they have also obtained two certifications related to information privacy. In February 2019, they earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals. Earlier, in February 2016, they acquired the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification, also from the IAPP.
