Aly Sumar

Aly Sumar has worked in the financial services industry since 2000. Aly began their career at ATB Financial, where they held a variety of roles, including Senior Vice President & Head of Markets - Everyday Financial Services, Senior Vice President & Treasurer, Managing Director, Director of Capital Management, Senior Capital Manager, Manager - Business Risk & Compliance, Customer Service Manager, Personal Banking Specialist, and Customer Service Representative. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of Convexity Analytics Ltd. and in 2022 they became the CFO of Launchcode.

Aly Sumar has a comprehensive education history. Aly obtained a B.A. in Economics from the University of Calgary between 1999 and 2006. Aly then completed the Professional Banking Program at the Institute of Canadian Bankers, earning the Fellow, Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) designation in 2010. Aly then pursued an MBA in Financial Services from Dalhousie University between 2009 and 2011. Finally, Aly is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Business Administration program at the University of Calgary, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
