Luke Phillipps

Luke Phillipps is a Mechanical Engineer currently employed at LaunchPoint Electric Propulsion Solutions, Inc. since October 2023, focusing on integrating power electronics with electric machinery for hybrid power plant development. Phillipps has significant experience as a Teacher Assistant at Caltech, where responsibilities included supporting students in electromagnetism experiments and circuit analysis from January 2021 to June 2024. As an Undergraduate Student Researcher, Phillipps collaborated with The FORCE laboratory on developing a computational model for a Rotating Detonation Engine. Prior internships at ATA Engineering involved creating 3D CAD and FEA models, alongside performing model checks and analyses. Phillipps is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Caltech, expected to graduate in 2024, following a high school diploma from Oak Hills High School.
