Marshall Kaplan is a highly accomplished aerospace professional with extensive experience in education, engineering, and advisory roles within the space sector. Currently serving as Principal Instructor at Launchspace Services since November 2022, Kaplan has been integral in developing educational programs for space professionals. As Co-Founder and Director of Launchspace Technologies Corporation since October 2016, Kaplan has also contributed as an Expert Witness across various organizations since 1992. Kaplan's previous roles include Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and Senior Military Space Adviser at the Institute for Defense Analyses. A former International Space Technology Adviser at Spacetech, Kaplan's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and teaching stints at Penn State University, where Kaplan developed coursework in astronautical engineering.
