John Stonkus has held various roles in the sales and customer service industries since 2010. From 2010-2013, they worked as a Starter/Ranger at Chisel Creek Golf Course and a Student Instructor at AppleCross Country Club. In 2013, they took on the role of Direct Marketing/Sales at Premium Advertising, Inc. In 2014, they became an Account Executive at Ricoh Americas Corporation and in 2015, they took on the roles of Senior Account Manager and Account Sales Representative at Laurel Bridge Software, Inc. In their role as Account Sales Representative, they were responsible for managing and growing the company's re-occurring revenue stream of annual software maintenance. Additionally, they were involved with two councils within Ricoh to help improve the work atmosphere.

John Stonkus attended Cedarville University from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing. Prior to that, they attended Wilmington Christian from 2006 to 2010.
