Ryan Bern

Ryan Bern is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at Lava since March 2025, Ryan has previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Current from January 2023 to March 2025, where Ryan also contributed as Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Sourcepoint from January 2022 to January 2023, and at Spotify from October 2018 to January 2022. Ryan began the career as a Software Engineer at Flow (Flow Commerce, Inc.) from September 2017 to October 2018 and Tapad from June 2016 to August 2017. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland between 2012 and 2016.
