As specialist fire consultants we provide advice on all aspects of fire safety to those involved in the design, development, construction, management and use of buildings. Our services range fire engineering design solutions for large and complicated buildings to the identification and analysis of risks and hazards. 

To complement these services we also provide design services for fire alarm and detection systems, emergency lighting systems, suppressions systems, smoke control and all necessary engineering interfaces.

Although fire engineering is traditionally associated with the design of ‘new build’ projects. LWF have developed extensive design experience in the application of engineering techniques and innovative application of prescriptive standards in building refurbishment and regeneration projects These techniques have been particularly advantageous when applied to large or special use premises where ‘engineering’ approaches have supplemented prescriptive design standards to provide optimum and innovative solutions to fire risk.
