David Webb has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David started their career as a Brand Strategy - Research Intern at Richards Partners in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Summer Law Clerk at Rogers & Rutherford Lawyers before transitioning to Russell McVeagh, where they served as a Summer Law Clerk in 2011 and later became a Corporate Solicitor in the corporate advisory team from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, David joined EverEdge Global as an Intangible Asset Strategist, initially in New Zealand and then in London in 2016. During their time at EverEdge, they managed a key start-up and worked on a financing scheme for a G20 government.

Following their stint at EverEdge, David worked as an IP consultant in Business Development at ClearViewIP for a short period.

In 2016, David also started working as a Senior Intangible Asset Strategist at EverEdge Global, where they focused on business development and played a role in developing a financing scheme for a G20 government.

From 2017 to 2020, David worked at Cipher as a Strategy Consultant, applying their IP knowledge and advocating for the value of Cipher's AI. David then transitioned to the role of Technical Business Development Manager, assisting tech companies in using Cipher to support intellectual property and strategic decision-making.

Currently, David Webb is employed at LawVu. David started as a Senior Implementation Services Manager in 2020 and is now working as a Legal Engineer. In this role, their responsibilities include improving content and processes to deliver value to LawVu's implementation team, partners, and customers. LawVu is a legal workspace utilized by in-house legal teams to centralize their work and support the wider business.

David Webb attended The University of Auckland from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a dual degree in LLB (Hons) and BSc. Their majors included Law (Hons), Chemistry, and Mathematics. In April 2014, they obtained certification as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand from the High Court of New Zealand.
