Dean Hicks started their career in 1997 as the Director of Internal Audit at Fortis/Assurant. In 2004, they moved on to FirstCare where they served as the Audit Director until 2006. In 2007, Hicks joined Layer 3 Communications as the CFO/COO. However, in 2019, they retired from their latest position at Hicks' Farm.
Dean Hicks earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Clemson University, where they attended from 1976 to 1981. Following this, they went on to pursue an MBA in Finance at the University of Notre Dame from 1990 to 1991.
