Lee Calcote

Lee Calcote has a long and varied career in the technology industry. Lee began their career in 2003 as a Systems & Network Engineer at Weir Floway, Inc. Lee then moved to Pelco by Schneider Electric in 2005 and held various roles such as Manager, Network Software Engineering, Manager, Engineering IT, and Network Engineer. In 2008, they joined Cisco Systems as a Senior Software Architect, Remote Management Services and then progressed to Senior Software Engineering Manager, Cloud and Virtualization and then Director of Software Engineering, Cloud Systems and Analytics at Seagate Technology in 2014. In 2016, they joined SolarWinds as Head of Technology Strategy and also held roles at CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) as TAG Chair, Technical Oversight Committee Contributor, and Ambassador. In 2018, they joined Octarine as an Advisory Board Member. In 2020, they joined Layer5 as Founder and CEO and also joined Cisco as an Advisory Board Member.

Lee Calcote has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota and a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Fresno.
