Kate Manthei

Kate Manthei has been working in various roles since 2006. In 2006, they were an Exchange Student for Rotary International. In 2014, they became the International Volunteer Coordinator for Maximo Nivel, where they coordinated facilities for and managed 10 volunteer projects concerning construction, nutrition, teaching English as a second language, and working with disabled children while utilizing minimal resources. Kate also facilitated donations and aid, scheduled clients/volunteers travel details, homestay housing support and orientation for new clients and client service. In 2016, they took on the role of Group Retreats Director & Programs Coordinator for Ratna Ling Retreat Center, where they managed hospitality operations and handled all aspects of financial management, scheduling, administration and execution of all offerings by Dharma Publishing Academy. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Finance Director for Layerframe Studios, where they are responsible for financial operations of a digital agency including monthly projections, running payroll and managing freelancer payments. Kate has also improved processes and increased visibility for subcontractor costs by implementing weekly reporting.

Kate Manthei obtained their Interpersonal Communication degree from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2012. Kate then went on to pursue a Master of Social Work - MSW degree from California State University, Monterey Bay, which they completed in 2024. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Mastering QuickBooks Online Level 1 and Level 2 from Quickbooks Software, as well as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from Maximo Nivel.
