John Zakelj

R&D Engineer at LayerZero Power Systems

John Zakelj has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 2010. From 2010-2013, they were an Undergraduate Teaching Associate for the First-Year Engineering Program at The Ohio State University, and an Electrical Engineering Intern at Advint, LLC in 2013. In the same year, they were also a Design, Control, and Automation Intern at the Edison Welding Institute, where they were responsible for data acquisition and analysis of high speed camera, spectrometer, current/voltage, and thermocouple applications through the development of National Instruments programs and hardware. John also created LabVIEW programs to interface with various sensors through SDK's, researched and documented new innovative processes for future use, and used algorithms to analyze and present useful data to program operators. In 2010, they were an Engineering Intern at Pako Inc., where they worked with an Electrical Engineer to design a flow test stand and create a functional spec for the data acquisition code, and worked under the plant electrician to learn about plant electronics and get hands-on work with electronics and high voltage. In 2015, they began working as an R&D Engineer at LayerZero Power Systems.

John Zakelj obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2013. John then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2015. In 2014, they obtained a CLAD certification from Demonstrates a broad understanding of LabVIEW core features and functionality as well as the ability to read and interpret existing LabVIEW code.
