James Simpson

James Simpson currently serves as a Director in the Liability Management and Capital Solutions Group at Lazard, a position held since October 2020. Previously, James held the role of Associate Director in the Debt Solutions Group at Gresham Partners from July 2019 to July 2020, and prior to that, served as Vice President at Lazard from August 2015 to May 2019 in the same field. James has extensive experience in financial restructuring, having worked as Vice President and Associate at Houlihan Lokey and as a Senior Associate and Associate at Allen & Overy in the Global Restructuring Group. Academic credentials include an MBA with Distinction in Finance from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Double Degree in Laws (with Honours) and Commerce (Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide, complemented by an International Baccalaureate Diploma from St Peter's College.
