Manal Hussein

Manal Hussein serves as the Chairman of New City Developments since January 2020 and has held the position of Senior Advisor at Lazard since July 2014. Manal Hussein is also the Chair of the Women in Business Committee at AmCham Egypt since September 2019. Previously, Manal Hussein was the Chairman and CEO of Orascom Development Egypt from October 2014 to January 2020. Manal Hussein's government experience includes roles as Deputy Minister of Finance from July 2004 to July 2013 and Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade from July 2003 to July 2004, along with serving as a Member of Parliament from June 2004 to February 2011. Significant accomplishments include chairing e-finance from March 2008 to October 2010. Manal Hussein holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Administration from Cairo University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from The American University in Cairo.
