Michael Iltschev

Michael Iltschev is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, currently serving as a Director at Lazard since 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Vice President in the M&A European Advisory Group at BNP Paribas CIB from 2021 to 2022, and worked as an Associate Director in M&A Advisory at Berenberg from 2016 to 2021. In addition to these roles, Michael was a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, teaching a module on "Take-Overs" in the Master of Mergers & Acquisitions program. Michael's prior experience includes serving as an Associate Director at HERING SCHUPPENER, where significant contributions were made to over 20 mergers and acquisitions with a total deal value exceeding €25 billion. Michael also briefly worked at Joele Frank, assisting in countering a hostile activist campaign. Academically, Michael holds an MBA from INSEAD with a focus on corporate finance, and participated in the INSEAD-Wharton Alliance MBA Exchange Program. Educational qualifications further include a diploma in International Cultural and Business Studies from Universität Passau.
