Darren Loo

Darren Loo is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the design and development of custom train-mounted solutions. As Engineering Lead at L.B. Foster Company since June 2011, Darren has successfully managed a team of engineers and overseen a $10 million USD global portfolio, handling every phase of the development process from conception to post-implementation support. Darren's technical expertise includes the design of over 20 custom solutions each year using CAD software, ensuring compliance with safety specifications through finite element analysis. Prior roles include Mechanical Engineer positions at AMEC and Kelsan Technologies Corporation, where Darren contributed to process design and product development, and a Quality Assurance Engineer role at Peter Kiewit Sons Co. Early education includes a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Masters in Management from the Sauder School of Business at UBC.
