Dirk-Jan Simons

Dirk-Jan Simons is a seasoned consultant and partner at LBP|SIGHT, where engagement began in March 2003. Prior to this role, Dirk-Jan worked as a consultant at Lichtveld Buis & Partners from 2003 to 2010 and served as a staff scientist at Argonne National Laboratory from 2001 to 2003. Dirk-Jan’s career includes managing a laboratory and pursuing a PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1996 to 2001, along with experience as a geochemist at Shell between 1994 and 1996. Academic achievements include a PhD in geochemistry, geology, and geotechnical engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago (1996-2001), a Master of Science (MSc) in chemistry, geology, and geochemistry from Utrecht University (1991-1994), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in chemistry from Avans University of Applied Sciences (1987-1991).
