Michael Bates

Michael Bates currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at LCEC, where responsibilities include establishing and executing the Technology Strategy to support Lee County Electric Cooperative's objectives. Previously, Michael held the position of Senior Vice President of Technology & Digital Security at Blue Ridge Power, leading the development of the technology ecosystem and achieving significant cost savings. Michael has also served as Global Chief Information Officer at Britax Group Limited, Director of Transformation at Snyder's-Lance, Inc., and Vice President of Information Technology at Springfield LLC. Michael holds an MBA from Winthrop University.
