Michael A. Murphy currently serves as the Water Conservation Lead at LCRA, focusing on environmental sustainability and drought contingency planning. Michael is also an active member of the Executive Committee and the Director of the Water Innovation Council at the New England Water Environment Association. Previous roles include Specialty Advisor at BLUE Institute Labs, where guidance was provided to water tech startups, and Chief Executive Officer at X2O Corporation. Michael also directed water innovation efforts at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, where partnerships were established with international water entities. Additional experience includes project management roles with The World Bank and program evaluation for the Global Environment Facility. Michael's educational background includes a Master’s degree in International Environmental Policy and an MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology from Texas State University.
