Michelle Lu, P.E. is an experienced engineer currently employed at LCRA since July 2022. Prior to this role, Michelle served as an Engineer I and Dam Safety Engineer at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality from April 2015 to July 2022, where responsibilities included conducting safety inspections of dams, drafting inspection reports, and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses. Michelle has also worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Women in Engineering Program at The University of Texas at Austin, facilitating the Women in STEM Leadership Collaborative, and as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan, promoting English language learning and cultural exchange. Michelle holds a Master's degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
