Peter Lewis, PE, currently serves as the Director of Operations & Engineering at LCRA since September 2018, where responsibilities include leading the transmission control center, operations planning, operations training, and reliability engineering teams. Previously, Peter held the role of Transmission Operations Engineering Manager, overseeing grid congestion management, operational studies, and training for system operators and engineers. Peter's experience also includes six years at Platte River Power Authority as a Senior System Electrical Engineer/CAD Supervisor, handling substation and transmission line design, and several projects at Stanley Consultants as a Substation Protection and Controls Engineer. Foundational experience was gained through an electrical engineering internship at KJWW Engineering Consultants. Peter earned a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
