Ron Anderson is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in water resources management. Currently serving as Chief Engineer of Water Resources at the Lower Colorado River Authority since September 2001, Ron has been instrumental in projects such as the Prairie Reservoir and Arbuckle Reservoir, focusing on technical support and project sponsorship. Prior to this role, Ron worked as Senior Planning Manager at the Brazos River Authority, where significant contributions included negotiating contracts for the Williamson County Raw Water Line Project and managing multi-reservoir operating procedures. As a Sole Proprietor at Softron of Travis County, Ron developed flood hydraulics graphics software with a nationwide user base. Earlier in their career, Ron served as Project Manager at HDR Engineering, Inc., leading hydrology development and reservoir operations modeling across multiple river basins. Ron holds an MBA, a Graduate Engineering Studies certificate in Free Surface Flow and Operations Research, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
