Kara Smith Brown is an experienced professional with a long and diverse work history. Kara started their career in 2010 when they were hired as the Marketing and Communications Director for OHL. In 2013, they founded their own boutique marketing and communications firm, SmithBrown Marketing. During their time at SmithBrown, they were the outsourced CMO for seven small business clients and generated automated email campaigns resulting in a 26% marketing qualified lead rate in 60 days. In 2016, they took on the role of Founder + Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at LeadCoverage and Owner of B2B Conversion Consulting. Kara also took on roles as GrowthX Corporate, B2B Conversion and Advisor for RoadSync. In 2019, they were hired as a Network Leader for Village Global and an Advisor for Lavender. In 2020, they were hired as a Young Entrepreneur Council Member for YEC and in 2021, they became a Chief Member for Chief.

Kara Smith Brown attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2000 to 2004 where they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Kara then attended Dominican University from 2011 to 2017 and obtained their Master of Business Administration in Marketing. In October 2022, they obtained a certification in Entrepreneurial Strategy from Harvard Business School Executive Education.
