Emma James

Deputy Director

Emma James serves as the Deputy Director at LEAD Edu since June 2025, bringing a wealth of experience from prior roles, including Deputy Director at the Clinton Foundation where responsibilities included overseeing the Clinton Global Initiative University and CGI Fellowship programs. Emma's background encompasses program management with iEARN-USA focused on the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program, and community outreach at the University of Pennsylvania's Netter Center. Previous contributions include research and policy development for the Queen Rania Foundation in Jordan, youth development work as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, and various internships addressing nutrition education and affordable housing. Emma holds a Master’s Degree in International Education Development from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Anthropology from Bowdoin College.
