John Byers

John Byers is the Vice President of Public Markets at Lead Edge Capital. John has over seven years of experience in the private equity and public equity crossover investing space. Prior to joining Lead Edge Capital, John was a Senior Associate at HGGC from January 2020 to December 2022. There, they were responsible for private equity / public equity crossover investing. Before HGGC, John worked as an Associate at First Reserve from January 2017 to December 2020, where they were responsible for private equity investments. John started their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Simmons & Company International from January 2015 to December 2017. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Arizona.

John Byers' educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University, where they graduated Cum Laude. John also has a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Their manager is Mitchell Green, Founding Partner. They work with Ray Joyce - Vice President, Megan Duffy - Analyst, and Tim Bemer - Partner.
