Amanda Dean, PE, is a seasoned professional in civil engineering with extensive experience in project management and structural design. Currently serving as Volunteer Staff at LeaderFlow since September 2023, Amanda aids local participants in Houston through advocacy and coaching while expanding the organization’s reach nationwide. Previously, Amanda held leadership roles at Walter P Moore from October 2019 to April 2024, focusing on the collaborative delivery of mid- to high-rise structures in healthcare and education sectors. Amanda has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston from January 2014 to December 2021, teaching structural engineering. With a solid engineering background that includes roles at Huitt-Zollars, Inc., Cardno Haynes Whaley, SCA Consulting Engineers, David Chou and Associates, Ewing Cole, and The Conti Group, Amanda possesses a diverse skill set in managing complex projects across various building types. Amanda earned a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University.
