Ken Shepherd has been employed in the technology industry since 1984. Theirfirst role was as a member of the IBM DB2 development team, where they designed and developed code modules for IBM's flagship relational database product. In 1988, they joined KPMG as a management consultant, consulting with key strategic clients and migrating mini and mainframe applications to the local area network (LAN) model. In 1990, they joined Latham & Watkins as an application developer and technology consultant, creating custom productivity applications and integrating office software with legal research databases. In 1998, they co-founded STARDOCS, a digital marketing services firm committed to helping doctors, dentists and other health professionals compete in the digital marketplace. In 2017, they co-founded LeadFront, a digital marketing services firm that delivers qualified leads and an effective strategy to convert those leads into sales and business growth. Ken also co-founded VIBEcx, a technology-driven customer experience consulting firm.

Ken Shepherd began their educational journey at Brigham Young University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science between 1976 and 1984. Ken then continued their studies at the same university, completing a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing & Information Systems between 1986 and 1988.
