About Leadgene Biosolutions

Leadgene Biosolutions specializes in advanced technologies for dynamic cell-culture control, high-throughput bioprocessing, and real-time culture monitoring, enabling researchers to generate precise, reproducible, and data-rich biological insights.

The company originated in 2018 as Cytena BPS, founded by engineers and scientists from the University of Freiburg’s IMTEK Institute, supported by cytena GmbH (Germany). During its growth within the BICO Group, the team established deep expertise in microfluidics, automation engineering, and intelligent bioprocess design.

In 2025, following its transition out of the BICO Group, the company integrated with Leadgene Biomedical, combining complementary strengths in assay development, protein expression, and biological system optimization. This strategic alignment formed Leadgene Biosolutions, unifying technology platforms and domain knowledge under one innovation ecosystem.

Today, we develop intelligent biosolutions designed to improve experimental consistency, enhance process scalability, and expand analytical visibility across cell-based research and bioprocess development. Our platforms empower scientists to observe, quantify, and optimize cell behavior with unprecedented clarity.

Our mission is to accelerate the translation of biological ideas into actionable results by delivering robust, data-driven technologies that advance next-generation therapeutics, biomanufacturing, and life science innovation.
