Alexa Rowek

Director Of Content And Coaching at Leading Educators

Alexa Rowek has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Alexa started their career in 2007 as a 7th and 8th Grade Special Education Teacher at Teach For America and worked there until 2009. Alexa then joined KIPP New Jersey, where they held multiple roles including Special Education Teacher, Assistant Principal of Special Education, and Achievement Director of Special Education. In these roles, they focused on developing inclusive special education programs, coaching and developing teachers, and modifying curriculums to meet the needs of all students. Currently, Alexa is working as the Director of Content and Coaching at Leading Educators.

Alexa Rowek has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Dickinson College, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Alexa later pursued their Master of Science in Middle Childhood Education with a specialization in Special Education at Pace University from 2007 to 2009. In 2013, they earned a certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant from William Paterson University of New Jersey. Alexa further expanded their expertise in the field of education by obtaining a certification as an Education Consultant from NJ Teacher 2 Teacher, LLC in June 2018. Additionally, they are certified as a Teacher of Exceptional Students, K-8 from Pace University, which they obtained in June 2009.
