Simone Kemp

Simone Kemp is a seasoned communications professional with over two decades of experience focused on community engagement and digital communications. Their career began in community news, where they developed strong storytelling skills, later transitioning to diverse roles in local government, including Acting Manager of Communications and Community Engagement at Brimbank City Council. Simone has successfully led significant community campaigns, such as the hard waste collection service transformation and the advocacy for the St Albans Leisure Centre replacement. Presently, they serve as an Executive Officer with LeadWest and actively contribute to the LGPro Social Media Conference Committee in 2024. Simone holds multiple diplomas and a Bachelor of Arts, and is dedicated to fostering informed communities through effective communication strategies.
