Martin Sende has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Martin began their career as a working student at TD Deutsche Klimakompressor GmbH in 2006. Martin then worked as a placement student at BMW in 2008 before becoming a student research assistant at TU Dresden from 2007 to 2010. Martin joined TWI Ltd. as a graduand in 2010. In 2011, they started working at Vattenfall Europe Mining AG, where they held roles as a graduate trainee in R&D, an R&D engineer, and a project engineer. Martin was responsible for various projects and tasks, such as improving thermal power plants' efficiency and flexibility and managing the implementation of an exhaust vapours re-use system. Martin's most recent role was as the Head of Staff Department Maintenance at LEAG since July 2018, where they led a team and ensured efficient maintenance processes.

Martin Sende completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2005 to 2011, they attended Technische Universität Dresden, where they obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2010, Martin also pursued a degree in Welding Engineering at SLV Halle GmbH, which they completed in 2011.

Furthermore, Martin Sende obtained an additional certification as an International Welding Engineer from the International Institute of Welding in November 2011.
