Chitu Singh has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Most recently, in 2020, they founded LeapFrog Semiconductor, Inc. and served as the Founder, CEO, and President. Prior to that, in 2018, they also founded Aumnic Inc and held the position of CEO.
Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Chitu worked at Qualcomm from 2010 to 2018 as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they led the hardware architecture and implementation of modem designs for wireless technologies such as IoT, 5G, and 4G LTE. Chitu also played a key role in the development of 5G mmWave baseband hardware and co-ordinated efforts across multiple teams for the development of a 4G LTE IoT modem.
Earlier in their career, Chitu worked at NextWave Broadband from 2008 to 2009 as a Staff Engineer and Project Lead. Chitu focused on WiMax system and architecture design, specifically on MIMO detection for machine learning performance and channel estimation. Chitu optimized these designs with low power, low cost, and high performance parameters in mind.
Chitu Singh pursued their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from 1994 to 1998 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Later, they obtained their PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in VLSI for Wireless Baseband, from The University of Texas at Dallas between 2003 and 2007.
