Stephen Tierney has extensive work experience in various roles related to SharePoint and web development. Stephen started their career in 2007 as a Sharepoint/Web Developer/Analyst at Scottish Ambulance Service, where they managed the Sharepoint environment and redesigned the external website using .net. Stephen then joined NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Sharepoint & Intranet Developer, where they developed and migrated content on the SharePoint 2007 platform.
In 2011, Stephen worked as an Applications Developer at Doosan Power Systems, focusing on knowledge management systems based on Moss 2007. Stephen also contributed to the potential migration to SharePoint 2010. Following that, they joined Insights as a SharePoint Developer, responsible for developing and deploying the company's intranet using SharePoint 2010.
From 2012 to 2014, Stephen held the role of SharePoint Developer at MacRoberts, where they worked on SharePoint development projects. Stephen then joined National Australia Group as a SharePoint Technical Consultant, providing technical consultancy for SharePoint 2010 and designing solutions for collaboration.
Stephen's next role was at Lothian Buses as a SharePoint Consultant/Developer, where they developed a responsive mobile-friendly intranet using SharePoint 2010 foundation. Stephen also provided technical consultancy and created governance plans for SharePoint usage.
From 2015 to 2019, Stephen worked at SSE plc, first as a SharePoint Consultant and later as a Marketing Development Manager. In these roles, they provided technical consultancy, user adoption, and training for SharePoint within SSE Marketing. Stephen also contributed to system implementation, vendor selection, and process design.
In 2019, Stephen joined Adobe Workfront as a Consultant, where they provided consultancy services and worked as a Senior Consultant until 2022. Then, they joined LeapPoint as an Integration Architect, where they are currently employed.
Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated expertise in SharePoint development, user adoption, training, system implementation, and consultancy.
Stephen Tierney earned a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Internet Software Development from Glasgow Caledonian University, which they attended from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Higher National Diploma in Information Technology & Business Administration at Stow College from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, Stephen obtained several certifications including Exam 480: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft in March 2013, and Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Workfront Core Developer Expert and Adobe Certified Professional - Adobe Workfront Fusion from Adobe in May 2022.
