Chris Scott

VP, Non-Production Purchasing, EHS, Security & Facilities at Lear

Chris Scott is Vice President of Global Manufacturing Processes and Sustainability at Lear Corporation. He is responsible for implementing standardized best practices, eliminating redundancies, and evaluating manufacturing process decisions for global manufacturing and inventory management, Industry 4.0, business process systems and tools, sustainability, and environmental, health and safety as well as supporting Purchasing, Supply Chain and Engineering functions at Lear.

Scott first joined Lear in 1992 in account and sales management. For the next 13 years, he held leadership positions within sales and marketing, platform management, quality, operations and supplier performance. After working at Visteon for seven years in a variety of roles such as Senior Executive of Global Information Technology, Senior Executive of Global Purchasing, and Global Director, Supplier Performance, Scott rejoined Lear as the Vice President of Operational Excellence. He was promoted to Vice President, Global Foam Operations; Vice President, Global Surface Materials; and most recently, Vice President, North America JIT Operations.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in materials logistics management from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan.
