Harry Kemp

SVP, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel at Lear

Harry A. Kemp is SVP, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel of Lear Corporation, a position he has held since August 1, 2019. In this position, he holds responsibility for Lear’s legal and regulatory matters globally. In addition, Mr. Kemp oversees Lear’s internal audit and compliance functions. He previously served as vice president and corporate counsel from 2018 to 2019, and divisional counsel for Lear’s Seating Division from 2016 to 2018 and E-Systems Division from 2008 to 2016.

Prior to joining Lear, Mr. Kemp was a partner at the Detroit law firm of Bodman PLC, where he specialized in commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kemp came to Bodman from the global management consulting firm of McKinsey and Company where he served as an engagement manager on a variety of strategic projects.

Mr. Kemp graduated from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) with a Bachelors in Business Administration concentrating in accounting and finance. He earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2000.

Mr. Kemp is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way for Southeastern Michigan and serves as an advisor to the Archdiocese of Detroit.
