Simon Smith

Simon Smith is a seasoned Programme Manager with extensive experience in the automotive and aerospace industries. Currently at Lear Corporation since September 2019, Simon leads a multinational team to deliver a £120m HV programme for Jaguar Land Rover. Previously at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, Simon successfully managed the production delivery of the DBX programme while overseeing a £300m budget. At Jaguar Land Rover, Simon held strategic roles, including Architecture Manager and Project Manager, focusing on improving product quality and compliance across multiple models. Earlier career experience includes significant contributions at BAE Systems, where Simon led technical and acceptance initiatives for the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Meteor missile programme. Simon holds a Master of Science in Advanced Methods in Aeronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace from Loughborough University.
