Richard Larcombe has extensive experience in engineering and technology roles, with a focus on Ruby on Rails development. Richard is currently the Director of Engineering at Learn Amp since September 2022, and previously served as the CTO at Learn Amp from February 2017 to September 2022. Prior to that, Richard was the CTO at Rise To from February 2016 to February 2017. Richard also worked as a Technical Director at Brand Apps from February 2015 to February 2016, where they were responsible for the development of the Appaway platform and oversaw the tech strategy. Before that, they worked as a Senior Ruby Developer Contractor at RJ Larcombe Ltd from December 2014 to February 2016, and at uSwitch.com from June 2014 to December 2014. Richard's earlier roles include working as a Ruby on Rails Contractor at Sawmill Design from January 2014 to June 2014, as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at Bethel Church from February 2011 to February 2014, and as a Web Developer at the National Network of Youth Ministries from October 2003 to June 2008. Richard started their career as a Web Programmer and Customer Manager at Cumulus9.com from June 2002 to September 2003.
Richard Larcombe attended the University of Southampton from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.
